Women in Aviation Career Day

main image

Women in Aviation Day was an inspiring day for our PCA girls as they learned about the vast array of careers in aviation and the military. Held on March 19 at Joint Base Charleston, the day began with encouraging stories from women who have forged Air Force careers. Next, students toured a C-17 aircraft, participated in a Career Field Forum, and visited the Maintenance Training Facility with its flight deck, engine, and mechanical training rooms.

Students interacted with nurses, engineers, pilots, load masters, maintainers, administrative staff, and the security canine unit. By the end of the day, the girls had learned not only about aviation specific careers, but about supportive careers in all branches of the military and the civilian sector.
