Student Life Center: The Possibilities Are Endless!

main image

The new Student Life Center has exceeded all expectations! Students started the school year in a brand new space with chairs of the newest classroom friendly designs, lockers that shone under the fluorescent lights, tables that fit together like puzzle pieces, and science rooms that allow teachers to conduct more advanced level hands-on labs.

The walls of the hallways that have scripture verses written on their foundation by our students last year, are now decorated with bright works of art donated by current students, alumni, parents of alumni, as well as local artists, completing the framework truly put together with love by the community

In just a few weeks, the school looks forward to holding events in the finished gym, including the first home volleyball game!!

When asked what they thought of the new building, Senior Morgan Kammer said, “It is so cool being the first senior class in the SLC! History in the making”. While Kendall Anderson added with a very excited tone, “My whole backpack fits in the locker!”

Students are not the only ones excited about the new building, Athletic Director Dale Hoover also shares their enthusiasm. I am extremely excited about having the new SLC available. Not only will our athletic teams benefit greatly from the ability to have more practices, but we may be able to offer other sports. We are already working to add archery as one of our offerings. Another great benefit will be the ability to have full school pep rallies. We tried this in the past but could not fit everyone in the old gym. We have needed this facility for a long time and it is going to be a huge blessing to our school.”

Senior Walk: A PCA Tradition

main image

Senior Walk is a celebration in which soon-to-be graduates walk the halls of their school as a way of demonstrating to younger students that hard work pays off.

We love this sweet PCA tradition! We believe it provides an opportunity for seniors to both celebrate their achievements and inspire younger students to follow in their footsteps. We are currently editing a video to showcase this milestone occasion. Be sure to check your inbox in the coming days so you can watch and enjoy the celebrations of our Class of 2021!

Following the Senior Walk, our Class of 2021 along with family and friends, gathered in the Worship Center where they were affirmed and encouraged during the Senior Awards Ceremony.

This year's class has excelled in arts, academics, and athletics. If God calls someone to a task, he equips them and this year's graduating class has risen to the challenges and finished well.

Seniors were recognized for academic achievement (highest GPA) in each subject and individually recognized in a character traits presentation.

Alex Stephens was awarded the prestigious Headmasters Award for leadership while Olivia Horne received the Dewey Caulder Award for athletic distinction.

Congratulations to every member of our graduating class for your individual accomplishments. It is our joy to affirm the unique way the Lord has fearfully and wonderfully made each of you!
