Preschool Press: The Fruit Of The Spirit

main image

Our two-year-old Preschoolers are learning about the Fruit of the Spirit! The lesson was about love. We used simple science to illustrate God’s love overflowing. An empty jar represented the emptiness in our hearts without Jesus.

After adding baking soda to the jar, we talked about when you give your heart to Jesus, He washes it clean and gives you the Holy Spirit to help you follow, obey, and love Him and love other people. We slowly poured in vinegar and watched the mixture bubble up! Because God first loved us, the Holy Spirit at work in our hearts bubbles up inside and causes His love to overflow out of our hearts and show love to others.

A Night Under The Stars: Junior/Senior Prom!

main image

Grateful, thankful, appreciative!!! PCA's junior and senior classes were super excited to be able to enjoy Prom this year!

Held on the spectacular Yorktown, this year's theme was "A Night Under The Stars". Students danced the night away on board the aircraft carrier last Friday night. The evening began with a professional photography session with Ellen Peek, followed by several hours of fellowship and enjoying heavy hors d'oeuvres, all while a DJ was spinning some favorite tunes that filled the dance floor with students.

A huge thank you to Laura Broach and Melanie Rodgers for their incredible work organizing this special event, to our delightful faculty chaperones, and to our amazing parent volunteers! We appreciate you!!!
