Cheesburgers in Paradise
This past Wednesday the fourth grade class enjoyed some fun in the sun on Capers Island via Barrier Island Eco Tours. We learned about the amazing life of the Tidal Salt Marsh that is here in our own back yard. Our knowledgeable guide taught us all about the marine life that makes the low country unique and special. The students watched the dolphins in the shark hole (eeek!), pulled a crab trap, handled starfish, octopus, explored bone yard beach and collected a beautiful array of Welch shells. The day was full of pointing fingers, wide eyes, questions, and lots of smiles. Our Eco Tour ended with cheeseburgers grilled on the beach that would make Jimmy Buffet jealous!
