2nd Graders Demonstrate Servant Hearts

As 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity” and that is exactly the message that Mrs. Welch is instilling in the hearts and minds of her second-grade students.

“I want the students to know that they’re not too young to begin a lifestyle of missions!” said Mrs. Welch. “I tell them we don’t want to be just hearers of the word but doers.”

Mrs. Welch has set up a service project once a month in order for her students to practice being doers.

Teaming together with ECBC, in the month of December they sent notes with Bible verses to the prison ministry. In January, they sent Get Well notes to Mrs. Jody’s father, “Papa” after he went through surgery, and they will send Valentines Day hearts to the prison ministry once again.

May we all take a lesson from Mrs. Welch’s second graders and demonstrate the love of Christ to others in big and small ways.

Preschool Press: Learning About The Letter "P"

Our preschool 4-year-old classes enjoyed reinforcing the Letter "P" last week with some special theme days. Pirate and Princess Day & Pajama Day were a great success with special books, crafts, and dress up. We love being excited about coming to school at PCA even at a young age!
