East Cooper Baptist Celebrates PCA In Sunday Services
The rich heritage of Palmetto Christian Academy began with a small group of parents at East Cooper Baptist who desired for all academic disciplines to be taught with a biblical worldview. This past Sunday during both church services, PCA was recognized and celebrated for our milestone 30th anniversary, and for staying true to our foundational principles.
After our new anniversary video was shared with the congregation, PCA Headmaster, JD Zubia, and PCA Board Chairman, Dr. John Graham, thanked East Cooper Baptist for their enduring support of our ministry. They also shared our vision for the future which includes creating an endowment to provide financial assistance to any family who desires a Christian education for their child.
Throughout the services, touches of PCA could be felt as several of our choir and band students participated in the worship ministry, joining the ECBC choir and orchestra. They said it was a meaningful experience to be a part of such a special milestone in the life of the church and school.
Choir student Alyssa Carper says, "I enjoyed leading others in worship. I felt like it helped grow my experience as well as helped serve the church."
Trumpet player Kade Watson said, "Usually, I'm just playing with the band, but it was really cool playing with the whole orchestra."
Senior Pastor Buster Brown's sermon, "Live With Intention Because So Much Is At Stake!" outlined high priority issues in the life of a disciple. His message reminded us to devote ourselves to the public reading of Scripture, and to the teaching of sound doctrine.
