Celebrating 100 Days Of School!
100 days smarter! Wednesday, January 25th marked this year's 100th day of school and classrooms across campus were celebrating in fun and unique ways! Kindergarten was showing off how they can count to 100 by coming up with fun and creative t-shirts that showcased 100 items! From 100 smarties to 100 stickers, 100 never looked so good!
A few feet down the hall in first grade, students donned hand colored hats that showcased the number 100! Students used this day to practice their counting skills, counting to 100 in many different ways including building structures with 100 items and making trail mix with 100 of each ingredient. Mrs. Cattrone’s class was turned into a Spy Lab, where students were made into spies, complete with fingerprinting, a name badge, case file, magnifying glass, and, of course, a mustache. Students completed a number of activities related to the number 100 in order to rescue “Zero the Hero” from the devious “Number 99!” Have no fear, the students were able to solve the mystery and save Zero (as if there were any doubt)!
Last but not least, who could forget 5th grade who dressed up in 1920’s garb leading up to the start of their “Gilded Age” unit in history! From flappers and pilots, to baseball players and Women Suffragettes, these students not only looked the part, but also had fun facts about the era to go along with their day.
From 30 years, to 100 days, PCA knows how to celebrate the numbers!
