Blessing Those In Need Through Samaritan's Purse
The rules; parents were not allowed to give money towards this goal, instead the students had to do acts of service and chores to earn the funds, or they could donate from their own piggy banks!
In just two weeks the three classes worked to raise $1,410.12! That was almost double what they raised last year.
The students voted on what to spend their fundraising on and it included the following:
Clean Water Projects, Goats & Dairy Animals, Chickens & Poultry Products, Blankets & Bedding, Medical Equipment & Supplies, Cataract Surgery, Bibles & Christian Literature, Honeybees, Share the cost of a surgery for a cleft lip and for a blind person, Disciple a child, Feed a hungry baby, Care for an orphan and Provide a month of food for one family.
Founder of this now annual fundraiser, 3rd grade teacher, Angie Andrews, was wowed by her students. “I was shocked by the amount of money my students earned in only two weeks! They worked and shopped with great joy!”
New to PCA this year, Mrs. Charity Light also shared her excitement. “How amazing is this! My heart is full. Their hearts are full. Better it is to give than receive.”
Our servant hearted students never disappoint. We are thankful for their full and generous hearts.
